Vocal Odyssey - Guernsey

After more than a decade of carrying this work around the world, I’m bringing Vocal Odyssey home, to the island where my own voice took shape.

The sea is in everything here. It shaped my rhythm, my songs, and the way I listen. That’s why I named this retreat Voices of the Sea — Les Voix du Sèr feels like a love letter to what gave my voice life.

The name of this retreat, Les Voix du Sèr, might look French at first glance, but it’s actually in Guernésiais, our native island language. It’s an old patois now mostly spoken by the older generation. Choosing it felt like a small way to honour the roots of this land, and the stories, like voices, that still echo quietly through it.
